OUR 2025 IMPACT
Advancing Community, Culture, and Connection

How GCNTB Made an Impact in 2025
In 2025, the Guyanese Cultural Network of Tampa Bay continued its commitment to cultural preservation, community service, youth empowerment, and charitable outreach.

Through partnerships, volunteerism, and community-driven initiatives, GCNTB supported programs that uplifted families, strengthened neighborhoods, and expanded opportunities both locally and in Guyana. Our impact this year reflects the power of unity, compassion, and collective action.

Paint Your Heart Our Tampa
2025 Bronze Sponsors
In 2025, GCNTB proudly supported Paint Your Heart Out Tampa Bay, a cause close to our hearts. As Bronze Sponsors, and in partnership with USF GUYSA, our team came together to paint the home of a local resident, helping to brighten their space and strengthen our community connections.
This effort highlights the importance of community, showing that even one home refreshed can make a lasting difference in someone’s life and uplift an entire neighborhood.

Through hands-on service and collaboration, GCNTB continues to reaffirm its commitment to giving back. Initiatives like this remind us that community care goes beyond events - it’s about showing up, lending a hand, and creating moments of hope and pride that resonate far beyond a single day.

Celebrating Kangan with GUYSA
Indo-Guyanese Heritage
GCNTB was proud to support USF GUYSA’s Mock Guyanese Kangan, a premier cultural event celebrating Guyanese and Indo-Caribbean heritage through music, dance, food, and community spirit.

By contributing food and assisting the executive board with event setup, we were honored to help bring this vibrant celebration to life on the USF campus.
Supporting student-led cultural initiatives like this reinforces the importance of intergenerational knowledge-sharing and the preservation of traditions within academic spaces.

Just Keep Swimming
Supporting Youth Athletic Excellence
In 2025, GCNTB proudly sponsored Guyanese athletes from MAFRA Swim School with a $1,100 contribution to support essential swimming and travel gear for their delegation competing at the ASATT Invitational Swimming Championships in Trinidad and Tobago.
This sponsorship helped ensure that six athletes and four coaches were properly equipped to focus on performance, discipline, and teamwork while competing on an international stage.

By investing in youth athletics, GCNTB continues to champion opportunities that foster confidence, excellence, and national pride, while uplifting young Guyanese athletes as they represent their community beyond our borders.

Community Giving in Action
One More Child - Lakeland, FL
In September 2025, GCNTB proudly made a financial donation to One More Child - Lakeland, Florida, in support of their mission to serve vulnerable children and struggling families.
Community service lies at the heart of GCNTB’s work. Through intentional giving and strong partnerships, we support organizations making a meaningful difference in the lives of children and families. These efforts reflect our continued commitment to service, compassion, and collective impact.
This contribution helped advance programs focused on care, stability, and essential resources for those facing hardship. Through partnerships like this, GCNTB continues its commitment to compassion, community service, and strengthening the quality of life for families throughout the Tampa Bay area and beyond.

Honoring Heritage Through Athletics
USF GUYSA - 2025 Cricket Classic
In 2025, GCNTB proudly made a financial donation to the Guyanese United Students Association (GUYSA) at the University of South Florida in support of their 2025 Cricket Classic featuring Team Asia vs. Team West Indies.
Our contribution helped provide essential equipment needed to successfully host the event and promote the continued growth of cricket within the community. Through initiatives like this, GCNTB remains committed to preserving cultural traditions, encouraging youth involvement, and expanding awareness of cricket as a unifying global sport.
